Current Project: Low Light
Work in Progress
Low Light is an ongoing photographic series exploring the quiet, often overlooked moments of daily life, illuminated by minimal and moody light sources — from the eerie glow of a laptop screen to the flicker of candlelight or the red haze of brake lights. Though drawn from the mundane, each scene is carefully constructed to feel cinematic — like a still from a film paused just before or after something significant.
Shot on 4x5 sheet film, the process is slow and intentional, echoing the introspective nature of the work. The images are grounded in familiar, domestic spaces, yet hold a sense of tension — a subtle unease that invites closer inspection.
Each photograph captures a moment of stillness and ambiguity, asking the viewer to linger and feel — whether that feeling is nostalgia, discomfort, calm, or curiosity. The series leans into the psychological effect of low light: how it softens reality, invites emotion, and turns the ordinary into something strangely intimate or surreal.
With an emphasis on mood and storytelling, Low Light is a quiet investigation into the emotional undercurrents woven through the everyday.
